Exclusive Vaccine Appointment Access for IAFC 

IAFC has partnered with Cook County Department of Public Health to provide IAFC staff, clients, and other constituents with exclusive access to mass vaccination sites in Cook County. All locations offer Pfizer (12 and over), J&J (18 and over), and Moderna (18 and over) vaccines.

To schedule an appointment at any of the greater Cook County mass vaccine locations, or at any of the neighborhood vaccine locations on the south or west sides of the city, follow this link & click on the location you would like to schedule an appointment at. Enter "Illinois Action for Children" in the organizational dropdown menu when asked.

ICYMI: Children age 12-15 are now eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine, with a parent or guardian required to provide on-site consent. Also, a new service to help you find a vaccine is available. Simply text your Zip Code to “GETVAX” – 438829, and en español “VACUNA” - 822862. You'll get a text back with nearby locations with available vaccines. 

Walk-Ins Welcome

Cook County Health is pleased to now offer walk-in availability at all large-scale vaccination sites. Individuals or groups who are interested in getting a vaccine can simply show up and register onsite Monday-Saturday, from 8:30AM-5PM. Walk-ins are also available for individuals who received their first dose at another location as long as they have their vaccine card with them. 

The vaccine is free to everyone and no one will be asked their immigration status.

Mariano’s Grocery Stores: Mariano’s pharmacies dedicate two hours of each day to distributing COVID-19 vaccines within the city of Chicago.

Who is eligible for the vaccine?

As of April 19, all Chicagoans and residents of Illinois age 12+ are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine. Residents age 12-17 are only eligible to receive the Pfizer vaccine. Johnson & Johnson Vaccine Update
